Japanese Mega CD2 add-on system. Works with a Japanese MD1 or MD2 system, or any system which has switches which can be set to 60Hz and Japanese text. Other than that, a Datel CDX converter will allow if to play with any MD system. Being a Japanese system, it only plays Japanese games, but a CDX converter will allow it to play UK Mega CD and USA Sega CD games.
Pure Japanese Mega CD2 add-on console, boxed with both metal plates for Mega Drive 1 and Mega Drive 2, MegaDrive 1 plastic 'foot' and Japanese power supply. We don't think the MegaDrive 1 parts have ever been used. The console has run everything we've thrown at it. FMV runs completely smoothly. We've even fed it a couple of heavily scratched discs which have stalled on other Mega CDs in the past and it's run those fine without a hitch too! Note that the game shown on the TV and the Mega Drive 2 is not included (but may be available separately). ACTUAL ITEM PICTURED.
Note that we only ever crop our photos. We never enhance/retouch them!
System is 100v so you may need a step-down transformer (50W is fine). Alternatively, you can run this off a local equivalent power supply i.e. an English Mega CD1 or 2 PSU.
