Conversion of Sunsoft's Neo-Geo AES fighting game. Quality 1-on-1 fighting game for the Neo Geo. Hang on, where have I heard that before? Ah, but this one wasn't made by SNK or Alpha, it was by Sunsoft, of Bomberman fame. Sunsoft do have form with 1-on-1 fighting games though, with the colourful/mad Waku Waku 7 (Neo Geo & Sega Saturn) and the Sega Saturn/ST-V exclusive sequel, Astra Superstars. It doesn't really look like anything else on the Neo, or much like Sunsoft's other fighting games to be honest. There's a mixture of colourful Japanese anime style and sci-fi space and mechs and things so I guess you could draw some parallels with Capcom's Cyberbots Fullmetal Madness or even the more sci-fi looking levels of Marvel Super Heroes or X-Men Children of the Atom (all 3 available for Sega Saturn and slightly cut-down versions for the PlayStation PS1), but it's not really much like any of those games. Pretty unique, check it out... it's cheap, too! Also available for the Sega Saturn, also at a pretty low price.
