Interesting horizontal shooter from the twin legends of Toho & Kaneko (but released in the arcades by Taito, I think), in which you can transform between a ship and a flying mech. I didn't have a lot of love for the game back in the day: the music is a bit screechy and the graphics are a tad on the chunky side. However, it's one I've found myself warming to more and more over the years. Also available for the PC Engine, converted by Taito. Comparing the two, and going off memory, I think the Mega Drive one has much better music and perhaps looks a bit prettier but the gameplay and difficulty is less well-balanced than the PC Engine one. Also, the MD version has a much more 'zoomed-in' playfield, so the ship/mech is much bigger, as are the enemies... a bit like the FM Towns Marty conversion of Tatsujin Ou vs. the JAMMA arcade version, only maybe even more so.
